The hike towards Besseggen has started.
Bjørnbølttjerna to the left. Gjende to the right.
After one additional kilometer.
Now the fun begins.
It was a bit steeper than we thought.
Did we really come from there?
Great view from Besseggen. 400 m difference between the two lakes.
Popular place for photo taking.
Two Norwegian ladies that we met at the top.
The climb has begun.
HT and Jonas are impressed by the staircase in stone.
Just like a Herrljunga staircase.
Ouch, a blister.
Bert and Jonas checks the next crossroads.
A little chill in the air.
Lena cruising the rock.
Gjende with its inviting waters.
Annica and Bert enjoy the view.
You can never take too much chocolate with you.
The trail to Bukkelägret.
Besseggen in the background.
HT and Elvy on the go.
A creek crossing.
We have walked a long way.
Amanda looks happy!
Seems to be a lot of people out there.
Steep down to the lake Gjende.
Besseggen looks mighty.
Newly painted T.
The last downhill before Besseggen.
Imagine if you were a dog!
Popular picnic spot.
A tasty dinner is waiting.
A view you do not get enough of.
The climb has begun!
A steady stream of hikers on their way up.
First steep completed.
We are not up there yet!
Amanda takes the lead, only photographers are!
The lactic acid starts to come.
HT is still going strong.
Annica, Amanda and Lena walks on upwards.
The steepest part is waiting for us.
It cant get worse!
Even the younger generation was in place!
No problem to take you down!
Berra slides up on the last ledge.
A lot of people on the road.
Now we are close.
Norwegians headed in the wrong direction?
Finally the terrain becomes flatter.
Amanda pause and check out the views.
Im tempted to swim!
Yes, this is the photo we wanted.
And there we have the rest of the gang.
A little break.
The ladies, still in the front.
We just like rocks and stones.
Many people at the ridge.
Elvy gearing up for the last part.
A popular photo composition.
Lena is posing.
Stones and more stones.
Memurubu glimpsed in the distance.
There is always a stone that fits to sit on.
Sun tan is important!
All of the team except the photographer HT.
Looks just like on Mount Everest.
Annica, Amanda and HT.
Todays largest cairn.
Finally we can spot Gjendesheim!
Grand Canyon? No, no its Jotunheimen.
Berra takes a sip of water (I think)!
The weather is getting better and better.
Downhill to Gjendesheim.
Elvy is enjoying the beautiful view.
The mountain guides, Bert and Jonas.
The last steep.
We are close.
Happy to be back.
Thanks for that.
This should be celebrated!
